Custody

Bit of a sensitive issue.....How would someone go about getting custody of a child from a former partner, for respective reasons?
Has anyone done this in the past? Is there any advice someone can give?
All positive response will be gratefully received

How old is the child ? Why do you want custody ? You need to see a lawyer. If you are the father you are unlikely to get sole custody unless the mother is a very bad parent eg a drug addict or if the child states it wants to live with you.0
