Hi,
I am a student living with 3 others in a 4 person flat in Edinburgh. We are with scottish power and everything in our flat is electric (no gas). Today I was on the phone to scottish power and they said for our first quarter from september to january we have used £700 of electricity!!!!
Surely this cannot be right?!?
We have been away from the flat for 3 weeks at christmas so the flat has been empty with no electric usage, and we double checked all the plug switches before we left!
They said that it has been passed to the relevant department and will be looked into.
Can anyone give me any advice!

Is that bill based on actual meter readings? Also, what kind of heating do you have?0

All electric - seems about right. It is the most expensive way of heating a home. Sorry!0
