Cancelling sky

Sky's cancellation department is called 'Turn Around' internally. The whole point in it is to change your mind. Normally they'll do anything you want within reason to keep you as a customer and when they ask you why you want to cancel, if you tell them what the problem is they'll sort it out for you or give you some money off as an incentive. Sky charge for an engineer call out but if you don't want to pay that, tell them you're cancelling and explain why. You'll get the call out free if you hold out long enough.

I just rang Sky this morning; and after a quick conversation with the Indian call centre they put me through to the scottish centre. I told them I wanted to cancel because of lack of value, he immediatly offered 3 months at 1/2 price! After initially saying I wasn't interested I accepted the offer.

Yesterday I called Wanadoo about cancelling my broadband connection and was immediately offered a permanent £3 reduction on my monthly bill.

Not bad for a couple of 5 minute call's! Wish I'd done it 6 months ago when my year contracts were up.

What package you on with Wanadoo.. Im on the 17.99 broadband package what dya reckon my chances are of getting them to reduce this? :rolleyes:

I have just come off the phone to Sky and threatened to cancel. He suggested reducing the package but I was adamant and after an 18 minute phone call got my three months at half price.

Hi folks. the capital letter at the start of each word is to do with me typing with capital lock on. as i was annoying a few i will not do it again. it is just easier!!!
