Hi all
This is my first time on this board. I've encountered a problem with 2 games I've bought for my laptop. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, and each time I try to install either game, the following pops up on my screen:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Chose 'Close' to terminate the application.
When I tried an Internet search to find help, I was led to this Microsoft site:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767&Product=winxp
It seems to be the right solution, but when I type any of the commands in, I'm told:
The system cannot find the path specified.
Is anyone able to help me?! The drive letter is D and the games are Theme Hospital (supposed to be suitable for Windows 95/98/XP (Home Edition)) and Airport Inc. (minimum spec: Windows 95/98).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you check to see if they are in the repair directory? Search the hard disk for the files, and if you find them anywhere, copy them into c:\windows\system32Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

I don't have a Windows XP disk, but I'll try the other things on Sunday....have to be up early in the morning for work, then it's the Christmas dinner tomorrow night (strange....I know)
Thanks for all the help so far.0
