  • I would take a bus from Temple Meads to the Broadmead/Cabot Circus area (unless you're up for a bit of a walk). Some of the buses that I know depart from Temple Meads & stop at Broadmead are below:

    1: Broomhill - Cribbs Causeway ( Bristol City )
Via Henbury, Westbury, Centre, Temple Meads
    1A: Broomhill - Cribbs Causeway ( Bristol City )
Via Henbury, Westbury, Centre, Temple Meads

    8: Temple Meads - Centre - Clifton - Redland - Centre - Temple Meads ( Bristol City )
    8A: Temple Meads - Centre - Clifton - Blackboy Hill ( Bristol City )
    9: Temple Meads - Centre - Redland - Clifton - Centre - Temple Meads ( Bristol City )

I know that the 8/8A/9 buses stop right outside the main entrance/exit of Temple Meads (I assume the 1/1A stops there too). If you need help finding the store once you arrive at Broadmead, just follow the sounds of pneumatic drill. :)

Bus timetables (but no clear route maps  - you can pick those up at Temple Meads though) are here: http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/southwest/bristol/timetables/index.php

I live very close to Broadmead & shall try to stop in tomorrow to check on the supply of bags. However - they had loads behind the counter yesterday & no customers, so I'd say your chances are good. & maybe if you ring them, they would reserve some for you...

Thanks for this! I've never been to Bristol via train before as usually only end up going to Cribbs so no idea where to go lol
Never give up the dream!

Got my bag from Victoria yesterday - 3 bath bombs, two gift boxes, a soap and some 'Karma powder' - a good haul for £10 I thought! Didn't get a 10% off voucher though - grr!

Angelesque your 10% off vouchers will be inside the gift boxes, either as loose vouchers or on a page inside a booklet. So you should have 2. x

I have to say I'm a total Lush addict..love the products, love the shop, and staff are brill in the Oxford store. They only had £5 bags left yesterday which I was gutted about , but I had kind of expected that anyway! I did ask if I could look inside the bag but was told politely that they werent allowed to let me. I had 3 (!) Mr Snowmen ballistics, one other ballistic, 2 huge chunks of soap (again both the same ) and a bit of an odd smelling solid perfume! Luckily for me I love the butterball (aka Mr Snowman) ballistic so for that reason alone, it was a good deal for me, but for anyone else, it might have been a little disappointing with the lack of variety. Still, loads of stuff for the money, so I'm not moaning!

I picked up 2 bags from Oxford yesterday and got exactly the same. I think that is why they weren't doing many £15 or £10; there would have been even less variety! I've used the grab bag as a way of trying some Lush products so I didn't mind getting lots of the same (hey, any luxurious bath for that price is a treat!) but I would agre with Chrissy and warn anyone going to the Oxford store that this is probably what you will get.

Question I want to know is.....where have all these million of butterball ballistics COME from??!!:rotfl:
  • The wimbledon lush is making them on request. I am a newbie lush ite, and bought a 15.00 grab. There were six christmas gift boxes, all different types, about 6 bath bombs, some mangled powdery lumps in a bag and a bag with a sort of snowman in. I have no idea if that is a good deal or not!
Also a sample of orange soap which I asked for!

Still, my bathroom smells like a lush shop!

i've never tried Lush before(always been a loyal Body Shop patron) but always been tempted, so this may be a good opportunity to try their products.

Following this thread, it seems to vary greatly in what you actualy get in the grab bags & the value of the contents. Obviously, I want as much as possible for the minimum amount of cash!:D

What would you suggest is the best sized bag to get for a Lush virgin who doesn't do soap or baths?(V dry skin that's made worse by both:rolleyes:)
  • go the whole hog and get a £15 one, what u dont use of like u can sell or use for gifts ;)

If you don't want soap or bath stuff then you would probably be best going in and asking them to recommend some specific products for you. The vast majority of the contents of these grab bags have been soap and bath bombs, so wouldn't be any use to you I'm afraid :( They may even be able to make you up a grab bag of shower jelly/ lip balm etc.

I would be tempted to say to the SA that you are new to lush and see if they have a bag with a bit of varitey in to try different products.

All the SAs are helpful and don't bite, so just ask!
More [STRIKE]knowledge[/STRIKE] stuff then sense
