Laptop Suggestions sub £400

Hey please can some clever techies help me?
I'm after a 15" Laptop with a Budget of £400
I Will use it for itunes, internet, microsoft office, photo studio & watching dvds

I Dont have a problem using Vista & I already have microsoft office sudent edition software , so I dont need the full version already loaded!
Any suggestions please??

I looked at the advert for this, but it doesn't seem to have a built in webcam/microphone.

As you say Aldi are good value and this comes with a 3 year warranty, but at that price(£450) I would have thought an integrated webcam would be included.

Ive got the NS10, Excellent Build Quality imo and its cheaper than the Medion and has webcam. Was £499 upto a few days ago.

I used www.laptopsdirect.co.uk to buy my laptop, I think I spent around £350 for an Acer Aspire 5720 with 2GB Ram and a 1.4GHz Core2Duo processor and Vista Home Premium.
They're pretty good and have a good range for most budgets.

Its a solid piece of kit it dosnt even compare to the medion in quality

That's twice in two posts I've plugged this site lol. I've never personally used them but I know people who have and have been very happy with them. They are refurbished Dells but don't let that put you off because they come with warranties. The cheapest deals are the ones refurbished by MCS rather than by Dell themselves. Also be aware that the prices do not include VAT so remember to factor that in.

A friend of mine order a 30" Dell Ultrasharp monitor from them (worth about £600+) and got it delivered inc VAT for £320. They said it had cosmetic damage which turned out to be a tiny scratch on the silver screen surround which is barely noticeable. They're definitely worth a look at least.

The Medion has a bigger screen, and HDMI out, and 3 years warranty vs 1.

What do people use webcams for anyway? Apart from dodgy stuff!
