Hi All,
Got started on this due to the DL 50% Contents Ins. Sale - However they say they cannot insure me due to the flat being fully furnished.
Does anyone have any tips for good insurers for young professionals who are renting privately?
Thanks

You could try Co-Op (via Quidco for cashback) I live in rented accom and they insured me.
I hope you manage to get sorted.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

Did you take out only the contents insurance considering that you are a tenant and do not need home insurance?0 -
This is what is confusing me. It would seem fully furnished means they won't insure you..0

hey,
was in the same situation last year.
only certain companies insure for this
I used a search engine at money supermarket.
there was a option for people who privately rent (tenant).
it will be a bit dearer, but will cover your contents only up to a said value
mine was 8k
cost me 14 per month and does give you a no claim bouns that can be transferred to a normal house/contents insurance at a later date when/if you decide to buy0
