Transporting large wendy house

Hi. Can anyone give me any ideas on this. I have a large 2 storey wendy house that I need to transport from my old house to my new house. I'm a bit worried about dismantling it in case we can't put it back up the same. To transport it whole we would need it to be lifted over the garden fence. Can anyone give me any advice on what I would need and what kind of cost I would be looking at.

Thanks very much.

Now you've got me. I think it's 9' x 7' but not sure about the height (it goes up about 1 storey of our 2 story house if that's any help) or weight.

    It's this one http://www.meet.uklinux.net/jon/Alpine.htm

I've even tried contacting the company I bought it from to see if they could move it for a fee but their telephone number is unobtainable lol.

By the looks of it, its going to be fairly heavy so taking it to bits might be the best option. I'm presuming it came in bits and was assembled in your garden?

Have you contacted a removal company... they might be able to do this for you. Pick one local to your old house if you're moving far, it's cheaper that way. If you're only having this item moved, contact the smaller companies and make them aware that it is a part removal (i.e. not full contents of your house) and have the dimensions to hand when they call, plus details like you say about lifting over a fence etc.

Alternatively, if you're worried about not getting it back together again, I would suggest you use chalk or tape on the inside to mark the adjoining sections/pannels/posts before taking it apart and keep all small pieces like screws in a plastic bag. Then when you come to re-assemble you'll have a better idea which piece goes where and joins to what.

We moved an empty 6x4 shed to do the patio and that was VERY heavy, not sure you could lift it over a fence, Couldn't you sell it and get the buyer to dismantle and take away then buy a new one when you have moved.
My friend bought one off someone who was moving and didn't have a problem putting it back together.

It is not exactly rocket science. Portable buildings like these are normally constructed so as to be assembled very easily. Have a thorough look and see how it is put together. If you are in any doubt, then take some photographs as you go along, or make some sketches and notes to jog your memory. To move something that size in one piece would be a major undertaking. The idea about marking the pieces is a good one.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
