Banks won the case?

From what I've read on here, the banks lost the first case and are appealing it?
But I rang Barclays to request bank charges refunded because we fall into the hardship category. The man on the phone didn't have a clue what I was talking about, and said to go into the branch.
Now, the man in the branch was very smug and verging on rude when he told me that the bank had won and I had no chance, I agreed to these charges when I signed up.
What can I do now? I don't really want to go back into the branch, the man was really awful and actually upset me :embarasse
Thanks for any help.

you need to follow the template letters and ignore what he said.
There's little chance of anything being refunded in person (other than maybe just 1 charge if it's a one off)
There is every possibility the case has a long way to go yet so Iwould follow it all through in writing and get as far as you can now until the case has a final outcome."Stay Wonky":D

Get your claim in now. In writing. If you are in hardship you will get all the charges back plus 8% interest.0

You should always put things in writing to Barclays head office. I wouldn't suggest you deal with the branches. The Bank won one aspect of it, and lost another aspect to the OFT test case. Bottom line is that you can still claim0
