Halifax One - M&S Card BT question

Hello...
My wife has £4k on M&S Card + £2k on Barclaycard that are reaching the end of the interest free period.
She has obtained a Halifax One card with £6k limit with the intention of transferring the balances to this card.
Problem is Halifax One wont allow BT's from M&S Card for some reason.
The question is, is there a way to shift the balances to Halifax One
a) at all, &
b) without racking up loads of BT transfer charges...
any tactical help greatly appreciated..

1. Get Egg Money card with any credit limit.
2. Make BT £6000 from Egg Money to Halifax (£50 fee)
3. Move money from Egg Money to a current account.
4. Pay off Barclaycard and M&S.0
