Letter of disassociation needed?

I moved into a property just before Christmas. I'm receiving a very large number of letters for the previous tenants, and I don't need to open them to see that they are largely debt related. Final demands, letters from debt collecting agencies etc. There may be court summons, without opening them I don't know, but the previous tenants moved out around 6 months ago so I wouldn't be surprised.
My credit report was excellent when I moved in, but I'm concerned that my address will affect it. Do I need to wait until something appears on my credit report before I can send a letter of disassociation, or can I head of any problems by writing one in advance?
Thanks.

It wont have any effect on you what so ever. For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
Your address will not affect your credit report.
Just keep sending the letters back clearly marked 'Not at this address'
and under no circumstances open them. You should be finemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hi i am new to this, so if it is incorrect i apologise. My daughter has just recently moved back in with me and i now have debt collection letters coming to my address one of which is threatening door collection agents. Will this affect my credit rating, and how do i stop being associated with this debt please.0

As above, your credit rating will not be affected by your daughter's debts - unless you become "financially linked" (e.g. by having a joint bank account with her).
You are not associated with the debt.
If door collection agents do call, they will not be able to take away any of your stuff, only things which belong to your daughter.0
