Does anyone know where I stand with this?
I have a drive way in place but no dropped kerb - therefore I cross the pavement to access my drive.
There is a definate gas leak infornt of my house - could i be liable for the repair?

You should not be accessing your property without a dropped kerb. I know in one London borough they turned up overnight and installed bollards behind peoples cars on the boundary so they couldn't get off. This was perfectly legal for them to do. Any damage caused as a result you will be liable for and this could well include any damage to underground pipes and cables. It would be hard to prove that you alone caused a leak my driving over a kerb.
Firstly if you can smell gas report it. 0800 111 999 as its dangerous.
Secondly contact your council regarding a drop kerb."Self trained industry expert who has worked in Electricty Distribution, Electricity & Gas Supply and currently works as an independent consultant in industry processes to particapants in the industry" :eek:0
