Sky plus won't always rewind or pause

Hi, Hope this hasn't been covered already, the search kept telling me my search words were too short or common!
For ages now my Sky+ box will sometimes work perfectly, but sometimes will not pause or rewind when asked to - for instance if I was watching a programme and missed something and pressed rewind, the rewind symbol would appear but the programme would keep going, it would be like that for a minute, and then it would just freeze and the only thing to do is go back to the channel, having missed some of the programme.
It is a totally random problem as far as I can see - different channels and times. My husband said its when Sky are busy but that seems like faulty logic to me!
I don't want to phone sky because its so random, its bound to work perfectly when I am on the phone to them!
I always have space on my hard drive and it happens regardless of whether I am recording any other channels.
Does any one else have this?

Apparently the live pause & rewind is fixed with the latest software update (currently being transmitted) - there's a reference to it on the front page news at https://www.digitalspy.co.uk (or there was)There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
Fri, Jan 20thWhile only a small minority of Sky+ customers have been affected by this issue, (blah blah) Sky's technical team has been able to track down this very complex bug and has developed a fix.
The version 4 download with this fix should be rolled out to all Sky+ boxes by the end of the month.
