Right,
I've got a plumber whos happy to fit what we supply, he will just suplly pipework & fittings, (all good stuff though!) I've sourced a boiler (Glow worm 30cxi) and TRV's + lockshields (danfoss), now what I need are the rads, I've seen some VERY EXPENSIVE ones out there, can anyone recommend some sites for decent rads, and maybe some brands? I haven't a clue on what to go for.
Oh hes also recommended a Drayton RF-1 digi stat, anyone come across one of these?
Thanks Alan

Nip to your local PlumbCenter and any other plumbers' merchants local to you and hoover up their paper catalogues - they usually have everything you ever wanted to know about the radiators in - sizes, weight, thermal output, etc.
You can usually strike a deal in there - I've never failed to walk out of a plumbers' merchant with less than 20% off the 'list' price just from asking. There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -

Try your local adtrader - always loads of new radiators on there.
Myson seem to be a budget range that are recommended by several plumbers.

I can recommend Drayton as a reliable make.
You plumber is probably recommending the RF-1 as being radio controlled it saves a lot of wiring and you can position it where you like.
I would consider going for a slightly better one such as the Digistat RF3 programmable thermostat which will give you far greater control for only a few pounds more.

Yes, I agree, although you can get exactly the same slightly cheaper from toolstation.com - I just bought one.
The Screwfix/Toolstation ones aren't quite as good in terms of watts per unit area than Heatline 2000, but are a lot cheaper. The really cheap ones aren't worth it - you just need to buy larger ones to get the same heat output. Look at the specifications.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
