Taking Away Promotional Rates

Hi,
Does any one know if theres anything you can do if a credit card company take away your promotional rate for paying a day late. The amount in question was paid on the credit card companies own site the day it was due, and credited the actual credit card the following day. As well as being charged the usual £12.00 late payment fee, they reverted the interest rate from the promotional 5.9% to 22.9%.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

You can try ringing them and see if they'll reinstate it for you. Also get them to send you a direct debit mandate to stop things like that happening again.0

You could try ringing them and explaining the situation.
Be apologetic, not huffy.
I was lucky enough to get away with this twice on the same card.
I didn't fancy my chances the 2nd time but got lucky with a nice man.
My credit card company when making payment on their website states it may take 3 working days to clear.
Always be careful of this.
If you are lucky, make sure you learn your lesson.
Good luck.0 -
As above, ring, be apologetic, also request to set up a direct debit there and then (no late payments again).
Paying on the due date is too late, you need to to pay up to five working days prior to the due date to ensure the funds have cleared as your statement will tell you. There are a few exceptions to this, apart from DD's(card dependent), but i won't bore you with those and they're for the disciplined only.0
