 Just got back from Tesco. SA wouldn't accept MOC's unless I'd bought the product.
'They changed the policy again a couple of weeks ago' he told me.

Anyone else heard anything like this or did I just choose the wrong checkout?

No, you chose the wrong checkout - 'tell me another' I say when a cashier makes up rubbish, then if they insist then I insist on seeing the whites of a Supervisor's eyes.

TBH if there was a national change in policy we would read about it here before most stores would know. Don't worry, get back in there with your mocs tomorrow & choose a happier scanner for your Valentine's Day purchases! :heartsmil

Only chose it because there was no queue there. Now I know why!

I would try a young lad in the future who are usually quite happy to scan any coupons you give them and avoid middle aged old bags who behave as tho the money is coming out of their wages, I used £6.99 worth of coupons on £7.44 shop today, 45p to pay thanks very much Mr T:j

Ahhhh...now never mind the empty queue in future, look for the YOUNG 'smiley happy people' on the checkouts (yeah I know that's very hard in some stores).

If they happen to have the biggest queue just kill a bit of time pretending to study some dog food ingredients in the aisle nearby, just hovering until the optimum moment arrives for you to swoop over to stake your claim on your chosen till.

Whoever said Supermarket shopping was boring, lol?!:rotfl:
