Not sure why this happened, only yesterday I used about £6 worth. Perhaps theres a button or something the cashier needs to push before he enters the coupons - hope someone else knows!!

I am not sure either, two coupons did scan but these were direct from the companies. I guess I should have got the manager called, but to be honest the place is always so busy it would just be so embarrasing. The cashier was not worried about how many I tried to use or anything, infact he tried scanning them twice but they wouldnt scan, he has scanned internet coupons in for me before and they have worked so he probably would know if there was a button to press or something. Looks like my money saving days are over in that Tesco, oh well it was good while it lasted. BTW it is the Amersham store.

On Fairy washing up liquid (currently 2 for £2.00 in Tesco) there is a coupon on the top for £2.00 off Fairy dishwasher tablets. (currently on half price at Tesco) Hope this helps someone, dont think I will be going to T until the weekend, not sure if this applies online.

Went into Tesco with my printed off coupons from here today and not one of them scanned  , not even the couponnet ones, they all usually scan and I havent used anything different (printer or PC) so looks like my Tesco have stopped taking them, he tried to scan them on the actual till and also with the hand held scanner but the tills were not having any of it. Shame because I hadnt used any for quite a while so had a nice stash saved up.

Sounds to me like the SA didn't press the sub total button before scanning the coupons. Next time just ask them if they have pressed 'total' and you should be fine

Thanks for that, my only worry is that two coupons did work, (ones directly from companies, think one was Purina and the other was Andrex) these werent the first or last coupons either, he went through every coupon I had and tried them.

I just got back from shopping at a Tesco, Tesco Extra and a Tesco Express and had no problems with coupons scanning at all three. Matter of fact the Tesco and the Extra store have had new hand held scanners installed and they are grrrrr-eat!!!!! They pick up the ones that never used to scan and had to be manually typed in by the cashier. To know if your store has had new hand held scanners put in they are the ones that have the hand scanner is pointing towards you with a sign that says for you to scan your own clubcard. They are brilliant!:j:j:j So I have to agree with Harrietxxx and would say the SA did not total the receipt before trying to take the coupons off. I'd try again the next time you shop.

I have had this in the past and they have to push a button, not sure whether it is a "clear" button or the "total" button again and it should put the till right to accept the next coupon.
