    Hi everyone!!

I've just come across this thread and I have to hang my head in shame and say I'm a total voucher virgin :rotfl: ( not for much longer!!)

So before I take the plunge and hand my printed vouchers over to the tesco cashier tomorrow, can someone please confirm that you don't have to buy the actual product!!! ;) I'm not going OTT on my first visit, I've got 3 vouchers to hand over and I don't plan on buying any of the items :D

    TIA

hi and welcome nikki02, normally, no you dont have to buy the product, but each store manager can apply different rules. my local store, from next week, after many many months of accepting all coupons, is going to 5 per transaction, no need to buy the product. a friendly cashier (one of the few friendly ones that is) said today that it will be one day this week for our store. there has always been a lot of arrogant staff in this store, and the staff have been banned for ages. maybe this is why they treat us so badly. I resorted to very late night shopping, trouts gone then!!! ah well......................more visits to others i think.:rotfl: good luck with your local.
keep up the boycott folks......every little helps.

No in most stores you dont have to buy the product, choose a young cashier would be my advice. Good luck!!

After stopping with friends and using all 5 of their computers to print every coupon possible, i headed to the nearest T's.

Instead of messing about, i asked the lad how many coupons i could use and he replied as many as i wanted to.

Funnily enough, the same lad servied me again for the next 2 days :D

Manged to use 30 coupons in 3 visits. A nice change from the 1 coupon per visit i am used to.

Back home now & back to reality - i will miss my friendly cashier.

Went into Tesco with my printed off coupons from here today and not one of them scanned  , not even the couponnet ones, they all usually scan and I havent used anything different (printer or PC) so looks like my Tesco have stopped taking them, he tried to scan them on the actual till and also with the hand held scanner but the tills were not having any of it. Shame because I hadnt used any for quite a while so had a nice stash saved up.

Not sure why this happened, only yesterday I used about £6 worth. Perhaps theres a button or something the cashier needs to push before he enters the coupons - hope someone else knows!!
