Reclaiming from Yorkshire Bank PLC

ok well i have just done my template letter for yorkshire bank asking for all my charges for last 6 years .. how has everyone else found this???

i did attempt too go through conkers last year but seeing as i have not heard anything because of the ongoing case i thought i would try myself as im sick of getting charges every month some times weekly im on I.S and child tax credits and carers allowance as son has adhd/aspergers so hopefully once i get my return letter (if i do) i will try reclaiming under hardship or do u think i should request the hardship forms at same time as first template in same envelope..

any advice on this would be appreciated

thanks glo

Have a look at my signature and the FSA Waiver on Bank Charges, PAGE 11 is about financial hardship. The bank should respond with an income and expenditure form. If they simply send a standard response then re post on here and we will see what the new FSA Waiver(I suspect there will be one) will show.

That one is to get your information so in that case, you are earlier in the process than I had assumed. Once you have the information is when you send the first letter.

ah ok well fingers crossed it wont take them 40 days too reply with the details cos the sooner the better if they do send them without me having too chase them up

    thanks for your help

  • Sorry to break the news but I can practically guarantee that YB WILL go over the 40days but you can complain to the FOS which they will inform you about but what are the penalties?
I submitted a hardship claim to YB and got my 8 weeks are up letter last week. I have contacted my MP and just got the forms to complain to the FOS today but I'm not holding my breath.
Yorkshire Bank will do all they can to delay your claim no matter what your personal circumstances are, yet the government keeps bailing them out with tax-payers money and none of the banks have been penalised or punished, it's disgusting. They should read some of the posts on here and realise what a damaging affect they have on the lives of real people.

well just recieved my statements from yorkshire bank i am very surprised as they had 40 days too return them too me and it only took it 9 days from me posting the letter asking for them not the 40 so now i just have to sit and work out how much they owe me now ... and then send the first proper letter
