Just bought a 8mm Digi camcorder (thanks to argos thread). Is there any way one can convert the tape recording to burn to a DVD or CD?

PC Advisor has a couple of dvd/video packages on the coverdisk this week - and a few articles on the subject.
Thinking of getting it myself if I get round to it0 -

The real issue is transferring it from the camcorder to the PC.
options
i) Firewire (if camcorder has firewire) - Firewire PC cards are quite cheap now.
ii) TV capture card - I reckon around £30-40
iii) USB capture device - downside = USB 1.1 cannot cope with the speed for decent capture. Only USB 2.0 are worthwhile and your computer needs USB 2.0 ports.
