This is the flip side of my 'all hail optical express' in the heaven sent side of this forum!
broke my glasses this morning, vision express was the first place I cam accross (bearing in mind I can't see a thing without them!)
explained to the assisstant what was wrong, how little I can see & could they help? firstly she suggested I take them back to the original place (ina neighbouring town) sugessted I get someone in the que to help me with the bus numbers when I pointed out I can't drive if I can't see!
she then said try the jewellers round the corner as they may be able to solder them  the break is right above the centre of the lense, so surely that would put them out of line, not to mention the potential damage.
This is despite me telling her I was also needing to buy a new pair as the broken ones weren't comfortable, this was just an emergency 'patch job' I needed.
so, not only did she sound bored to tears (and a little patronising) throughout the whole episode, she also lost herself a sale to boot!

This year, I will mainly be kicking some serious money saving butt!
