Should I sell my Lloyds TSB shares now?

They are now sitting at a mid price of 63.25p :eek:0

I also have a number of TSB shares. I purchased them for the income, they had a tradition of paying out good dividends, an excellent income share. Now of course, because they fell for the Governments sweat talk and took over HBOS, then needed money to keep going, they will not be paying any dividends until the government loan has been repaid. To be honest it has has gotten to the stage where it is not paying the selling fees!0

It's only a paper loss if you sell now, but considering the powerhouse that Lloyds could become, shares in LLOY probably remain a strong long-term investment in my opinion.
Share prices in the banks could still go down, but most people investing on the stock market hold for the long-term ie 10+ years, so 10 years from now you could be laughing.
In general, in a market downturn, there's little point selling unless you desperately need money.

Unfortunately I have RBS & Lloyds shares - I keep trying to ignore them and sit it out one way or another. Not a lot we can do about them.0

I actually bought this morning, but aren't worried. I'm half expecting LLOY to go to into the 40P range at this rate, but I'm planning for 10-20 years.0

I keep buying thinking that they cannot go any lower and am currently sitting on a 82% loss.

they can go all the way to zero, and probably would do if the Govt had to take them over in entirety0

I had Lloyds TSB shares, but I sold them a month ago as I was angry about this pointless merger with HBOS.0

If you haven't sold already, I wouldn't. Bid price is higher than ask!
But each to their own...0
