optical express

ok, so some of the 'cheaper' high street opticians get a bad rap, but I'd just like to praise the staff in optical express (southend on sea branch)

My only pair of glasses snapped this morning, I'm blind as a bat without them...luckily I'm within walking distance of the high street, so I go stumbling along to the first place I come to (vision express, who are going on the vent side of this forum!)

so, I feel my way along to the next place - optical express. They couldn't have been more helpful, they showed me & explained why the broken pair couldn't be fixed. They then informed me the glasses are made up on the premises. I picked out my new ones, then a 2nd free pair. I mentioned I had a 10% discount voucher at home that was in the local free paper & that I didn't mind popping back to fetch it, but the lady just took the discount off anyway.

1 hour later I have 2 new pairs of glassess, properly fitted & great service from some lovely friendly people :j
