I've got one.
I find it quite useful but its not without its short comings.
The switching range is quite limited and sometime you can't change a station while the thing is upstairs.
The cables on the base station are quite short so you are a bit limited as to getting it in a good position.
Also there are lots of cables, 1 Mains adaptor, 2 Audio Right and Audio Left, 3 Data cable.
Its got 10 presets, but unlike normal presets you have to press and hold for about 2 seconds until the display flashes to change channel. Then if it does'nt switch you have to wait till the back light goes out before trying again.
O yes it will run for about 5 hours or so on a charge, but it switches off at the same time as the battery low indicator comes on.
Its made by Global who make the TV-Links.
I'd be interested in what other people think of these as well. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I had one for Christmas and I love it! I have my main tv connected to the tv in our dining room and the tv in our bedroom by way of a booster and leads and now I can actually lie in bed and switch channels with my sky gnome! I can also connect it to the cd/radio stereo system I have in the kitchen as it has stereo sound. This means I can listen to the music channels when Im cooking (or carry on listening to the news etc whilst Im getting the tea). Hubbie even takes it into the bathroom so he can carry on listening to the tv!
The points above are true though. Sometimes I can't get it to switch channels and it carries on searching. I just switch it off and on again and this does the trick. It doesn't do this so much that its irritating though so I would say its a minor thing. I found it very quick and easy to set up too.0
