I recently got my son a IQon pc from boffer for £150, box only obviously. We were pleased as it had a pretty decent spec for the money. Now my daughter has blackmailed me into agreeing to get her a new pc too. All the offers on grabit seem to be laptops, which are imho poor value compared to desktops and is not needed anyway.
Anyone know of any decent offers? About 3Ghz or so?

I had a look round wizmark, hotukdeals, dmxdimension, bargainspy, ebuyer. Nothing. decent.
If you already have the monitor and the Operating System, (the two most expensive bits), it may be worth considering getting one built for yourself. I wouldn't normally recommend this but it seems the manufacturers have got very stingy.
Think that you pick up a couple of sticks of 1gb memory for 20 inc, all you need is a decent motherboard & cpu, a psu and a few other bits.
You'd get some computer for £250 worth of parts..

The very last one at £86.42.
Stick XP on this one and it'll rattle along at a decent pace.0 -

I've never personally used these guys but I know a few people who have and they've been very happy. The machines are very well prices so it might be worth a look
You'll also be able to pick up a well priced monitor from these guys if you need it. Just be aware when you're looking at the prices that they DON'T include VAT.0
