Joint savings?

Hello.
Looking for a bit of help really. I've had a search around the forums but can't find any relevant information.
I've been trying to set up a joint savings account with my partner for about four months now with Natwest. After chasing and not hearing anything back from them, I've given up and I'm looking for another bank to open this account with.
The only problem being, we don't want to feed this savings account from a joint current account... it would have to come from two separate single-name accounts. Preferably, I'd be able to open it online as well and it would be instant access.
I'm finding it very difficult to find anywhere that would allow this. I know Bradford and Bingley offered one a while back but they seem to have withdrawn a lot of savings products and let's face it, mentioning "best rates" is a bit pointless at the minute!
Cheers in advance for any pointers guys

Not sure what your problem is. Joint accounts can have money added to them from any account belonging to anyone. I could send a payment to your account (sorry - not going to!) using a regular standing order or one off "bill payment". All I would need to know is your sort code and account number.0

Yep it's only your initial cheque/funding that has to come from a joint saving account and the linked account usually must be joint. This keeps online savings banks out of disputes that one party took funds, without the others knowledge. However you can deposit from any account.0

But we wish to open an account under a joint name... and for many providers, there can only be one linked current account and this must be in a joint name. We don't have a joint current account.
I was looking for any providers (and there used to be a few) who don't require this i.e. we wish to link two single-name current accounts to one joint savings account.0 -
Why not open a joint current account? Cahoot offer one, quick and simple, even if you only use it in order to open the account.0
