Abbey eSaver Direct Previous Rates

Options
Does anyone have a list of the dates when the rates changed from last summer when it was 6.50% (including bonus)? I want to calculate how much money there should be in the account.

Just called customer 'service' but basically all they do is to look on the Abbey website! It only lists the change in December but nothing before and they didn't send out any details of the change. Was told they were snowed under in sending out change letters due to the frequency of change in BoE base rate.

TIA

Look on emoneyfacts. Set to 'savings' and 'last year'

I've found that the top rate (presumably including the bonus) of 6.50% was unchanged at 1.5.08 and was 're tiered' at 4.8.08 - when that top rate appeared to go.

What balance (or tier) where you in - and what was the bonus offered?

  • Thanks for the links. I have the "eSaver Direct" account and not the tiered "eSaver" account.

However it looks like the rates dropped:

    31/10/08 0.50% to 6.00%
    01/12/08 1.50% to 4.50%
    30/12/08 1.00% to 3.50%

    01/02/09 0.50% to 3.00%
    01/03/09 0.50% to 2.50%
