Continuous Ink Supply System for HP PSC2410

I bought a CISS for my HP PSC2410 and fitted it last week. After a degree of problem getting it to work at all, not least because the guide that came with it seems to have been translated directly from Chinese and is unintelligible in places, it now prints in black and cyan but the yellow and magenta inks aren't flowing from the ink storage part of the system. Everything else works ok on the printer.
I have tried lifting the ink storage box to be higher than the ink cartridges but all that happens is the black cartidge overflows and the yellow and magenta ink lines just sit there laughing at me!
Has anyone fitted a CISS to a 2 cartridge HP printer? The HP cartridges are normally 56 and 57.

My guess is you prime the feed tubes, ink wont just flow through those small capillary tubes on their own, syringe the air out (suck the ink down)0

i would suggest the same sounds like air or maybe try and prime the linesHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Agree Probably an air lock on the feed tube.Always follow the path of least resistance.0

Thanks for the suggestions. The kit came with two syringes so I will try to prime the lines using those. Hopefully it won't be too messy and will do the trick. If it works, it should save a huge amount of money over replacing cartridges.0
