Hello Techies
Has anyone ever tried to empty the overflow ink tank on a Canon S9000 A3 printer?
That's the tank that fills up a bit every time you press "Clean". There's nowt wrong with the printer except that tank being full - we had to buy a new printer as it's vital to our income - but if I could empty the old one we'd have a spare.
Has anyone done this - or knows a link to a dumbies guide? It's not supposed to be a consumer serviceable part - but what have we got to lose
- with the new printer costing less than £200 - it doesn't seem worth taking the old one to some Canon service place miles away when I've got an electric screwdriver.
Ten year old DD said "That's just Thick - it should be just like an ink cartridge you can take out" - mmmmmmm

Someone sent me this...

thanks - it tells how to do it - even gives the reset codes - I'll wait for a sunny day and attempt this one outside though
