Critical illness cover

Hi, Took out critical insurance to pay off mortgage in 2003 but.. I changed lenders in Jan 08 as my lender couldn't offer me another fixed rate and I didn't think about informing my insurers, so, would I still be able to claim or could they use this as an excuse not to pay? Can anyone offer any advice.. Thanks, Mazzers

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't have thought one had a lot to do with the other. I don't think by mortgage provider cares too much about who my life insurance cover is with and vice versa.

The policy isnt linked to a lender. Even if you paid the mortgage off it wouldnt matter.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
