Laptop to LCD TV?

Hello All!

I've got a new LCD TV, paid a good bob for it and i've discoved it has a VGA input to it (much to my delight).

I was wondering if I can connect either my Laptop or PC to it and then be able to use it as a whopping monitor?

Also, would this play my computer sound through my TV too??

Hopefully this is possible but I don't have a clue!

Any help appeciated!

:)

If the TV has the "red & white" or an "audio in" you can cable sound from your PC / laptops sound card output direct to the TV.

    note:
    VGA is video only.
    DVI is video only.
    HDMI is video and sound.
