Hey speckled egg , your pic's are lovely and to be honest I think your selling yourself short ,I think once you get your foot in the door you will have no problem getting work ... I am a florist with 20 years experiance and belive me I have seen some rubbish churned out by some so called "florist's"

    Hi ,

You're pictures look great. I'm getting married in Woolhampton and I'm looking for someone to do the flowers for the church if you're interested? I would be happy to provide you with pictures of them for your portfolio too.
  • Thanks Jopsey, that's very sweet of you. I'm quite confident on the floristry side of things. More than anything, I just need practice pricing work!

When are you getting married, Graw? I'm in Thatcham, so not a million miles away!

Hi speckled egg, I agree with Jopsey. Although I have NO experience with flowers, I am sure it is the same as pricing up any other job. Obviously you are concerned with overpricing/underpricing yourself for work. I had 1 search on google and clicked on the first link and brought up some guide prices a bride an groom would expect to pay

Am sure you could search for moreand get a better idea of prices etc.

I expect a lot more florists will give you a better idea. Make sure that you keep your books up to date for the tax man!!!
  • Can't believe you are in Thatcham. Groom's family live on Bath Road!
Have sent you PM but 1st ever attempt so please let me know if you don't receive it - otherwise, please contact me on direct email.
