help...no guaranteed hours..

i've been job hunting for a while now, with no luck.
i have just been for an interview last week, for a job which i thought was going to be permanent, fixed hours..they no longer have that job so have offered me another position, which is, i guess, like an on call job...so no guarantee of a set number of hours a week..some weeks i could be working everyday..some days none..maybe even a month i wouldn't work at all...if i took this job..would i be eligible for any sort of benefit to help me? if some weeks i'm not earning anything, i wouldn't be able to live because obviously with taking the job i would come off JSA!!
any help will be appreciated, thank you

  • i would think again at such a position, it only benifits the employer, TBH to claim JSA you have to be unemployed you would technically be employed but not earning every day .
