ICS Problems

Hello!
Having a bit of trouble with ICS and just wondered if anyone knew what my rights were.
Basically i began an A-level Maths course in October, couldn't afford to pay the £269 so therefor opted for the £26.88 payments over 9 months.
When my course material arrived there was a Direct Debit Mandate to be sent back and as it contained my bank account details i made sure it was sent recorded delivery (even though it was a freepost address).

Unfortunately missed Novembers payment due to the direct debit not being setup in time and was told over the phone when i rang up to make the payment that it would be sorted for Decembers payment.
December comes...late payment letter arrives...direct debit still not setup.
Rang this month and apparently they never had any bank details from me:mad:. So im guessing my bank details are now swirling around lost somewhere in the ICS office:rolleyes:.

Anyway i was just wondering if i had any leg to stand on regarding cancelling without being forced to pay the whole amount.
If not ill admit defeat and pay the whole damn thing off.:o

Thanks.

You are doing the course (or at least started it). You owe them what was agreed. You need to pay them.

Agreed, it sounds like ICS have inadvertently given you two extra months to pay which is a bonus for you. If they want you to pay any charges for non-payment I would certainly contest then but not sure why you think you should be getting two (or all) months free because of the mistake.
