Well, I tried, I really did, I stuck to my guns, computer off at 10.30 (ish, but very close) and I went up to bed at 11.40 - 10 mins after I said I would - and I have been to get to sleep ever since - 2 HOURS!!!
Mind you, hubby is snoring like a drain at the moment because he can't lay on his side until they fix his arm properly (trapped nerve?) so that is a BIG distraction. So I am going to do what Greenbee said and stay awake now until tomorrow night when not only will I be absolutly cream crackered, but Hubby won't be there to snore in my ear... can I do it? I know if I sleep at all during the day tomorrow this will start all over again, so I am going to try really hard - I don't like being nocturnal...

Looks like flower's managed to get to bed as per her plan! I have had a lovely long bath and just come down to make my hot water bottles and log off.
I am not in the slighest bit tired... I've been told a hot drink helps, but I've just cleaned my teeth
I did I did, Honest!!! Hope you got sleepy once you were in bed - a bath should have helped relax you. Hope it worked...
I have two small 'vampire' type bites that are all swollen on my finger where the cat bit me - I was trying to stuff a tablet down her throat at the time!!!
We [STRIKE]had[/STRIKE] have a cat called Sassy and my aunt looked after her about 3 years ago when we had to go away for a while as she wouldn't have her put into a cattery - long shot of it was she ended up keeping her there - better for the cat, she is allowed to sleep on the beds (I get allergic to cat hair even tho I loved her to bits), she gets fed fresh meat cut into tiny pieces so she can eat it, is fussed over relentlessly, has lovely fields to run in (well she doesn't run anywhere now!) and has basically got it sewn up! Anyway, I still do my bit by giving her the worming tablets, etc when she needs them, usually easy, pops straight down her throat and done, but she really didn't want them this time and caught me good on the finger...really hurts now...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
hey there flower don't be too hard on yourself, it's easy to get out of the normal pattern, and so hard to get back in again. I have to really tire myself out reading in bed before I can sleep, or I'll lie awake thinking (very dangerous and never ending) or I have nightmares about bad things that have happened in my past. sleep is a scarey prospect for me, but so essential! so if i read, it blocks my own thoughts out and after an hour or two i can't hold the book up anymore, then i can turn my light out and i'm gone.
my real trouble is making myself go to bed in the first place, or if I don't have a good book around, yikes!!
I hope you manage to reset your bodyclock. I get chest pains if i stay up past 24hrs. I hope you will be fine, just take it real easy and slow for the day!smoke-free since Aug 2003 :j JDWilliams [strike]£479.55 [/strike] [strike]£417.92[/strike] [STRIKE]£318.33[/STRIKE] £0.00NSD in Feb 1 so far Ambrose Wilson [strike]£464.49[/strike] [strike]£422.76[/strike] £405.11:T

Usually try reading Indigo, but hubby in bed and light wakes him, so can't do that at the moment, but if I can stay awake today, I might just be OK...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

I need HELP.
I am so sick of the horizontal surfaces in my bedroom looking like this:
My duchess and ironing board are constantly in this state. The ironing board isn't usually in the room, but is currently as DS2 is using his room where it usually is when he's not here!:
Anyone got any suggestions for me?If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
Morning all
DeniseNZ - if you kept all the ironing in that basket I see in the front of the picture then you could fold the ironing board up and put it flat up against the wall and it'll look neater. If the basket is for something else, then buy another! Love the blue chicken by the way!
Lots of rain overnight. Kept waking me up. Back at the new site this morning. I wonder what beholds me there.
Have a lovely day people with lots of flying. I shall find something to do tonight when I get home as I only did the bedroom yesterday.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
