Alliance&Leicester Overdraft fee

My account has not been overdrawn for one full day,ie. start of the day in credit, debit by midday but back in credit again few hours later within the same day, however Alliance&Leicester have charged me 0.50p for each day that this happen. Has anyone this experience? I am thinking of closing the account.

When you say you are back in credit by the end of the day is it because you have paid in a cheque? If so would this not be 'cleared' by the end of the day so in reality your not back in credit.0

No, I did internal transfer from saving into current account. I am aware that cheque can take time to clear, but internal transfer from saving to current account does not have clearing time.0

Got to say that it sounds pretty reasonable to me.
Why dont you just put the money in a day earlier?0 -
Do you have an agreed overdraft facility with A & L? I have never had this problem with them, however I have noticed that they take out the debits before they add any credits, so it looks as though your account has gone ovedrawn even when the payments in were made before the payments out!0
