Hi,
I am trying to find out if i buy a currency travel card on the LLoyds Duo card if i will be charged the 3% fee (cash advance) as i know in the on some cards it comes up as a transaction and not a cash advance.
Does anyone have any idea or has anyone tried this?
Thanks in advance.

Never tried it myself, but quite sure it's going to be a cash advance.
To buy a currency travel card, you should always use a Maestro/Solo card - they do not incur a charge. Be warned that even VISA Debits charge a certain fee!0 -
Yes! I have one and yes I got charged as if it was cash, when i bought currency0

Yes it should be charge as a cash advance as that is what it is - cashThese are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0
