I've been with HL for a while and until this week, they were helpful and good value. Then I came up against a seriously moody dealer (for which I received an apology) and today, the site kept logging me out of my account when I was at the stage of confirming a deal. They now have my money but I don't have my funds. Sundays are a good time to peruse the factsheets and place deals. But when the website logs you off for no reason, there's nowhere to go.
I have written to them to alert them to the issue but thought others needed to know of what are clearly deteriorating services. Being logged out of your account mid deal is no fun. It's exceedingly rare with Lloyds TSB and other financial websites I am familiar with. This is the second time with H-L though.
Just keep it in mind before you make decisions. If you don't mind hassle and you have plenty of time and patience during office hours, there's no problem. Otherwise, this is the stuff of ulcers.
