I sent a 1p amount today and it got there (though not instantly) some time thereafter.

    I would have thought it would have easier to bring a whole system online, rather than a sort code at a time

    Hopefully they'll get to 089249 soon, I phoned them the other day and they said they were slowly working their way through.

    But yes, why can't they do the whole lot in one go? Are there any bank employees who know why?
