Just want to give you the heads up that there are free (paid for by Connecting for Health) Novel Suse Linux courses and the criteria is that you must be an NHS employees and all bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and subject to line management authorisation .
These courses are run in various locations across the UK.
There are at lease three courses: foundation (2days) Intermediate (4 days) and advanced(4 days). Apparently there will also be some more free follow on courses.
Having colleagues that have gone on these, they found the course intense, especially as they have never worked on Linux before.
Also you get a goodie bag consisting of manuals, CDs and licenses. Licenses for Linux - well it allows 60 (or 90?) days of free tech support.
