I thought pension credit was a passport benefit that automatically gave exemption from paying council tax, plus entitles the person to help with optical and dental costs. Plus of course the cold weather payments.
Phone the Council tax place and ask them.0 -
Hi
If you are on Pension Credit (guarantee) you will full council tax benefit.
If you are on Pension Credit (savings) and have less than £16K in capital you will be entitled to some help - it's on a sliding scale. Total capital adds up to more than £16K you won't be entitled this is the cut off point.
Fingers crossed.0 -
Yourkshire Grafter's right unless you have non dependants living with you and then you might lose some council tax benefit depending on their incomeI'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0
