Natwest Bank Statements with Account number only??

Hi there,

I am in the process of applying my PSW visa. However, I am currently with Natwest Bank and that I did not receive my last 2 bank statements. I am trying to get an electronic version directly from my bank branch, however they can only print them out on A4 paper in black and white with Natwest Logo on it. The main problem with such statements though is that it only has my account number on it, but not even my name nor address...

My question is: -

Anyone know what we can do about this please? I mean I would be able to order this month bank statement from the bank, which will be the original bank statments, and that will have my name and address which I can send with the electronic statements, does anyone know whether this would be accepted by the home office please?

Also, is it necessary to have my address on my bank statments please? as that does not seem to be required in the guideance??

Is there any way for me to get an original bank statement from natwest ASAP rather than waiting for 10 days please?

Many thanks,

    Not quite sure what a PSW visa is but I'm sure the branch would stamp and certify something with your address on if it's that proof that you need.

    The in-branch print outs only contain limited personal information in case they are mislaid. Though you can get duplicate statements ordered the branch have no control over their speed as they are re-printed at head office and despatched in the internal post to the branch.

    Or give them your statements, together with a photocopy of your bank card, or older Nat West correspondence, which shows both number and name?

    Hi there, the following is the requirement of the visa: -

    Personal bank or building society statements covering the three-month period immediately before the application

    The personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:
    • your name;
    • the account number;
    • the date of the statement;
    • the financial institution's name and logo;
    • transactions covering the three-month period;
    • that there is enough funds present in the account; and
    • that there has been enough money present in the account for the past three months.
    If you wish to send electronic bank statements from an online account these must contain all of the details listed above. In addition, you will need to send a supporting letter from your bank, on headed paper, confirming that the statements are genuine. Alternatively, electronic bank statements with the official stamp of the bank that issued the statements will be accepted. The stamp must appear on every page of the statement.

    We will not accept statements which simply show the balance in the account on a particular day as these documents do not show that you hold enough funds for the full period required.

    So all i am missing now is the name or address on the electronic statement, I have asked Natwest to put my name or address on it and get it stamped then, but they said that would be no use and refuse to do so for me...

    Anyway, is there any chance I could contact the head office of Natwest directly?? anyone please?

    I would be really grateful.

    Many thanks,
    GP

    Hi there,

    yes this exactly what i wanted to do, however, I am really not sure if Home office would accept that, cos they have been really really picky these days...

    The fee of the application would be £400, and once they refuse it they can make another £400 off me, just for silly reasons that they state...

    :(

    Can't you get the three months statements ordered? When do you need them by?

    The requirements you listed do not state the address needs to be printed on there. Could you not use, as suggested by Kavanne, online banking to get these details?

    The 10 days will also be a service level agreement: that is the absolute longest it should take. I'd do both.

    Hi there,

    There would be a problem with printing it straight off the web myself, cos it won't have Natwest logo on it: -

    The financial institution's name and logo; which is one of their requirements

    I have been wondering if anyone know whether I would be able to get Natwest Bank statements sooner, as in quicker than 10 days? as I need to make the application before the end of this month... (my deadline)...

    Do you guys think contacting Natwest head office directly would help please?

    Many thanks,

    How do you know? My halifax online statements print EXACTLY the same as a paper statement, they have halifax's logo and everything. Have you tried printing them off natwest online? I am not sure if they would be the same.
