When do UK banks no longer become viable?

I think that no matter what happens there are going to be losers (and a lot of money is going to go down the plug hole) but surely it makes more sense to take one big drastic action and start afresh correcting the mistakes rather than delaying years of fire-fighting and suffering.
I personally would not benefit from my suggestion but if it means people do not suffer next time round - and stops mismanagement of peoples money - then it needs to be looked at?
The main problem on this planet is the lack of accountability of people in high places.
By the way I do not want to be Prime Minister:p0 -

No I don't. What ever happens the tax pay is the ultimate loser.
I'm just trying to minimise the crunch for myself and family.
I remember the days when...... lol0 -
Another question I have is, should any money be put into the banking system if the rules/laws are still the same?
I would have thought the banking system would need an overhaul or at the very least a law to prevent them selling their debt to each other.0 -
Having just heard that the RBS shared have plummeted, I would like to say I was not due to my comments in this thread.....:o0
