Electric boiler tarriffs
Can anyone help with a bit of advice?
I have a new electric boiler system (Amptec) for my heating and hot water, my house is a new build in a non mains gas area.
I also have an economy 7 meter installed.
Unfortunately my current energy provider's economy 7 tarriff does not suit the system, as I do not store my heat up at night. it is used like a gas combi boiler.
Are there any tarriffs from other energy providers suited to the system, IE the lower rate, that allow you to use the lower rate during certain periods of the day as opposed to during the night.
I find that Uswitch and the like do not give good comparisons for this scenario?

To my knowledge, and I work in the industry, there are no tariffs that offer lower rates just during the day. They can offer them at night because there is more supply available than demand hence they can offer a lower price but this is always offset by a slightly higher day rate. Hope somene proves me wrong or you could end up having very large bills.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Economy 10? But it is still more just for an occasional boost during the day with lots of night useage. Probably cheaper to just choose the cheapest electricity tariff - I suspect the best price would be better than Economy 10.0

Or if you're not planning to move you could consider a ground/air heat pump system:
