Hi all found this site yesterday thanks to a friend. What a god send :j :j
Difficult circumstances are looming will tell more in another thread.
But thanks to this site checked my credit file and found a CCJ for £100 at my previous address but only gives court details and a reference number. I assume I have to phone the court concerned. An unsecured loan ( we had informed the company of the move and have settled the loan) showing a default :confused: and a credit card which I thought I had settled showing a default.
So Hi to all and a big thanks for this site.
Whatamess.

Hi and welcome to MSE! You'll find so much information to help on lots of different boards so keep reading! I'm afraid I can't advise about the issues from your credit check but I'm sure someone will be along who can. And if you do want to post a Statement of Affairs at some point (incomings, outgoings, every penny etc) I and others will be more than happy to try and find some savings that you can make to put towards any debts or problems. Although its not clear what you mean by "difficult circumstances", I'm assuming its debt related since you're on this board!

    Best of luck

P.S. Just noticed your signature (not paying attention before you see!), possibly those things are the cause of worry, financial and otherwise? Only assuming mind you. Anyways, best wishes and good luck (again!)

Hi Kath, yes the divorce is going to be the biggest problem with the finances.
Have probably got to give the keys to my house back to the mortgage company. Husband informs me in September that he doesnt want to be my husband anymore. Negative equity!!! Thanks to my bloody stupidity. First Plus, massive mortgage. I cannot afford it by any means on my own. Such is life.

It sounds like you are coping with a lot at the moment, not just money worries. You will find the community here (cos thats what it is) supportive and happy to listen if you just need to let off steam about it all. Do try not to be too hard on yourself though. Obviously I don't know your situation but I do know that you're acknowledging (sp?) the problem, facing it and taking steps to deal with it. In my book that makes you very brave, it can be all too easy to stick your head in the sand but you are not. Remember to treat yourself (doesn't have to be expensive) every now and again and mmake yourself feel special (long hot bath very good, often suggested on here!).
    Best of luck

Hi All. Phoned the courts re the ccj it was the DVLA. Sold a car to a motor trader just before we moved and stupidly didnt fill in the log book. He didnt tax the car we had moved hey presto a ccj. Have added a notice of correction and phoned the motor trader.
Phoned DVLA my fault but MIGHT consider squashing it if I write to them.
    Regards Messy

    Messy you have a pm.

Good on you for finding out what the ccj was for, hope they will do something about it when you put it in writing. Good luck!
