I should have lots of plans for today but OH is at home so I'll just aim to get lunch vaguely around lunchtime, finish drying yesterdays washing, do yet more laundry, clean out the stove and clean the bathroom. I'll be amazed if I manage half of that.

Morning all and thank you! I've smashed through thte £50 barrier and am rapidly on my way to my first million, unfortunately thats more likely to be a million DooYoo points than spendable pounds.

More furious scribbling in the book of figures indicates that had the ludicrous 4K challenge actually been for 3 months I would just have managed it, meaning my target was a wee bit too easy. As it is I'll be failing miserably round about the first week of December. To date I've blown an impressive £2624.02 on life and the random shoite that wings in my direction.

Still this ridiculous overspend is completely negated by the opening of yesterdays pay packet which reveals I have been awarded yet another pay rise and like all previous payrises this ones been back dated too. Rather nicely they gave me this as a lump sum which stretched into four figures, unfortunately someone in finance saw the need to spal a decimal point in the middle meaning it'll stretch to a chinese takeout complete with starter or a weeks mini food shop. Still its money I wasn't expecting and being a very boring person I've sent that winging its way towards the debt too. Wasn't expecting it so haven't allowed for it and its better off there in the long run. Sometimes I'm too boringly grown up for my own good.

In rather sadder news we're about to have a death in the family, the DDs tv is most definately terminal, they appear to be considerably more upset about its demise than they were about the chinchilla. Have told them we won't be replacing it in a hurry as they watch far too much random carp as it is. DD2 offered to give us the contents of her piggy bank towards a new one. Now feeling rather mean. Its not like they'll be deprived of tv completely but their response has been much like you'd expect if I suggested amputating an arm.

Came ridiculously close to posting a 700 word DooYoo review in a category where points aren't awarded. Fortunately I realised before I posted but I'll be double checking that on the next ones.

Eek now really late for work. I must not ramble so much.

Mmm thanks but I'm not entirely sure that the 16 hour round trip would be entirely justified although it would be rather a good excuse to go to the Edinburgh MSE meet.

Moving swiftly on as I have tons to do before OHs friend arrives which could be in as little as two hours time and DD1s bed still reeks of incontinent toddler despite Febreezing it to within an inch of its life. Have opened to room to fumigate the place in the hopes that helps too. Have visited the Co-op to purchase cider and sucumbed to cheap chicken. This weeks one week only special is half price whole chicken making them 67p per lb or an enormous one a mere £2 which was considerably less than the £3.50 whoopsied ones in the cabinet next to them. Thats tomorrows dinner sorted.

Have rambled on to achieve my second DooYoo of the day. Am going to finish my coffee and then back away from the PC until lunchtime in the hopes that a miracle occurs and the house is tidy by then. Fortunately it only needs to be tidy to blokey standards rather than ready for an inspection by the mother-in-law.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh I've had a PM from the saddos at DooYoo asking me to use shorter paragraphs. Do these people have no lives???????????? The thing only has 500 words for chuffs sake surely three paragraphs was sufficient? Rant over. I really am going to do some housework very soon.

Ooooh and the same saddo has e-mailed back to say hes nominated me for a crown. Make your mind up chaps. Tis a very bizarre place but a very bizarre place which pays remarkably well for doing not a lot and it does stop me rambling away to myself which is no bad thing.

Meanwhile its time to admit to todays guilty little secret. I've order a copy of Can't be arsed! from The Bookman as an x-mas gift for my dad. Honest. !01 things not to bother doing before you die. I figured any book that included 1001 golf holes to play before you die in its bibliography was worthy of a read and the chunk I read in the staff room (by chunk I mean the first 90 or so pages) were most funny.
