Is it possible to take local photos using a digital camera, and then somehow sell them? Would there be any copyright implications?

There are a couple of things to note about selling photos, which are probably covered in the other thread but I'll quickly note them here.
1) Don't try and sell any photos with any recognisable faces (part of a large crowd is just about acceptable) without a model release.
2) Photos of statues, public artwork and some buildings can have copyright issues.0 -
.....you dont actually need a model release form or permission to take photos with anyone in if its a public space, just these days people are funny about kids in pictures!!£5000 debt cleared thanks to MSE advice :money:0

Have a look at https://www.photobox.co.uk - it is free to get a shop page on their website, you then pay a percentage fee based on any sales you make. If you don't sell anything, then you don't pay them anything.
They've closed their pro-service temporarily, but it would be well worth considering. This is my mate's gallery hosted by them:

What sort of pictures do you want to sell?
I make a decent part of my living by selling my pictures. One my specialities is "Essex Life" photography, so local images.
You actually have to have a reasonably grasp of photography and artistry to sell your images...0 -
What website do you use to sell your photos on LittleCharlie?0

Anybody using Redbubble? Or any of the Microstock sites?0

I sell mostly direct to magazines and papers. Although I maintain my own stock library that I market too. I also have a collection with Alamy.
Redbubble has never made me a sale, they mostly sell abstract arty stuff.
Microstock aren't really worth it. I used to submit to them, then realised I was worth more than that. You need to sell thousands upon thousands of images to get any money really, your images are worth more than $1 a go, especially with todays exchange rates!0 -

As a matter of interest, can you state an 'average-ish' figure for what you receive for each photo that's published. Also, the best way to approach the various magazines and newspapers.
Thank-you in anticipation.0
