Bryan Carter

I have received a county court judgement from Northampton County Court because Nationwide Building Society have asked Bryan Carter Solicitors to recover over £500 Nationwide say I owe them for unfair bank charges. I wrote to nationwide 18 months ago and they agreed to stay the matter until the test case had gone through the courts and now I have a county court judgment out of the blue.

What can I do?

Comments

  • Do you have a copy of Nationwide's agreement to stay the matter?

How did you find out about the CCJ? Did you not receive the court papers in the post prior to this happening?
  • ccj would only come after notice of pending court case against you (ie, the summons).. if you didnt get this, check with court ASAP to see if you can get judgement set aside pending the reclaim / high court decison..
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
