Using lcd tv as laptop monitor

Hi guys,

I've just bought a VGA SVGA lead to connect my laptop to my LCD TV so that I can watch my getmiro internet channels on the TV.

Can anyone tell me if this lead will allow the sound to play through the TV and if not how do I get sound?

It wont dosound you need a cable that will go from your sound output on your laptop to the audio input on the tv. Some use 3.5 jack plugs others use phono/RCA.

Im afraid a VGA cable doesnt carry sound, and neither does a DVI cable. Unless you have an expensive soundcard there you most likely have the standard mono output which plugs into your pc speakers.

If your tv has a 3.5mm input it will be fine.

the pc output is stereo not mono.
