Hi,
My brother has a Packard Bell PC - it was pre-installed with Windows XP Media Centre, If he wanted to reinstall the operating previously he just restarted the computer click on F12 and it gave him the option to quick restore.
Unfortunately everything has now been removed due to he tried to install Vista on it.
I had Windows XP upgrade CD which I tried to install on his PC and entered product key shows on his base unit but it was not accepted.
Is there anyway I can get hold of original packard bell CD/download link which accepts XP Media Centre key shown on his base unit?
Thanks
M

If its a brand name PC and it had a operating system pre-installed on it, its likely it sits on a backup partition so it may still be on there. Unless your attemtped Vista install deleted all partitions.
If your unsure Id suggest calling your pc manufacture.0 -
if you ring up Microsoft they should validate the version of XP if you tell them it crashed and you just reinstalledEx forum ambassador
